It's Time for a Refresh!

We talk a lot about the need to discern our season with God here at Laurent Paper Co. Choosing a word of the year is a great exercise in this, but by the time six months has gone by, for many of us, things have changed. What once felt new, fresh, and current may feel ill-fitting as things have changed in life. 

I love this time, however, because it is more and more clear to me as the year goes on how much God guided my choosing of a word even though I didn't know what was ahead. The same is true for you!

HE knew what word you needed for these 12 months, and HE is the one that has written every moment of your story from beginning to end. 

Maybe June - December with your word will look completely different from what you thought it would look like. That's ok. God is with you and He is planting good things in your heart!

With that, here are some JOURNAL PROMPTS for you to explore this month during your time with God! 

Whichever month you're on in your journal, June is a great time to look back at the past six months with gratitude and ahead to the rest of the year with confident expectation in the goodness of God! (If you started with me in January in the Name Your Year Journal, then there is a page for this on page 101!).

• What were the prayers on your heart at the beginning of 2025?
• What growth have you seen in your life so far this year?
• What growth would you like to see by the end of the year?
• What pivots do you need to make in order to more fully embrace a life of seeking God in this second half of the year?
• How has my word shown up in my life this year so far? How has it met my expectations and how has it surprised them?
• What prayers are on my heart for the rest of this year?
